abstract	Kestra II was the second planet in the Kestra star system. It was geologically active and young star-jellies were raised there where they burrowed into the planet using its hyrdothermal energy for warmth. In 2380, a star-jelly was killed by the Pa'haquel but its body was rescued by the USS Titan. The star-jellies returned the dead jelly to Kestra II and invited the Titan along to view the "funeral." The dead jelly was transported directly beneath the largest lake on the planet while dirt and clay from the planet was transported up to one of the jellies in orbit. After the burial, the jellies participated in a group conception of a new embryonic star-jelly which would then mature on the planet. (TTN novel: Orion's Hounds)
