Badi Squadron was a squadron of TIE Defenders that were built by Nami crime lord Ali Tarrak. After stealing Proto 11, one of the Empire's prototypes. Tarrak arranged a demonstration of the powerful fighters to the Rebel Alliance by destroying a cargo area in the Yrrna system. The TIE Defenders engaged and destroyed the Cargo containers in the area while the surviving crew escaped on a Modular conveyor Ulzepdi, escorted by Maarek Stele in a TIE Avenger.
