Jock Ashmore was a member of Global Community Peacekeeper forces in San Diego. He was assigned to interrogate Chloe Williams after she was captured and taken into custody, but was unsuccessful in getting any information out of her about the Tribulation Force even with pumping truth serum into her. He was falsely credited for getting Chloe to reveal the whereabouts of Albie, a Tribulation Force member who at that time was murdered by Mainyu Mazda. Jock was to be reassigned for military duty in the Jezreel Valley following the public execution of Chloe. However, when Jock tried to prevent Chloe from using the microphone to speak unless she took the "mark of loyalty" at the time of her execution, Caleb the angel knocked Jock down, paralyzing him.
