| - Baby Mario is Mario's infant counterpart. He was first introduced with Baby Luigi in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and sometimes with his brother, has since become a popular character in spin-off games. He looks exactly like his twin, Baby Luigi, except with red colors and blue shoes.

Baby Mario spends most of his time on Yoshi's back, unless Yoshi is hurt in which he flies off in a bubble crying, so Yoshi has a time limit to get him back. Another addition is the Star which when Yoshi picks up, Baby Mario gets a cape and temporary gets invincibility, in which he can run fast and climb curved walls reaching previously inaccessible areas. Baby Mario also appeared in other Yoshi games like Yoshi's Island DS, and Yoshi Touch & Go and befriended Baby Mario.
- Baby Mario is the infant form of Mario. He first appeared in Yoshi's Island: Super Mario World 2 for the SNES in 1995. He also appears in Mario Golf for the N64 in 1999, and Mario Tennis in 2000. Baby Mario also appears in the Mario Kart series such as Mario Kart Double Dash and Mario Kart Wii. He appeared in Mario Superstar Baseball and Mario Super Sluggers. Four years later, Baby Mario appears in Mario Tennis Open for the Nintendo 3DS, this time as an unlockable character.

- Right before the Yoshi's Island Scandal, Yoshi was walking around Yoshi's Island, when suddenly Baby Mario fell out of the sky. It had been a Stork who had dropped him from the sky in an attempt to kill Yoshi, however Baby Mario was so light Yoshi survived. Yoshi thought that the baby actually was searching for his long lost brother, and decided to go around 8 worlds for some reason, destroying many civilizations and getting extremely deadly sue papers. Then Baby Bowser decided to kidnap Baby Luigi, trying to make him lend him his cap.
