File:Quake3.png Tier 1 - Trainee is the first tier of Quake 3 Arena's single player campaign. It is inhabited by some of the weaker bots, allowing new players to learn and improve on the move. The tier's map style is mostly Hellish with a twist of high-tech, which evolves into full industrial in the last map. As they gain victories, players will eventually face the merciless Sarge. Besting this opponent is the best proof that a player has truly become Skilled.

- de:Stufe 1 Beastmen tend to be grouped into tiers of 10 levels each, with certain kinds of beastmen within those tiers. Tier 1 is for beastmen whose levels range from 1 to 10. These are the weakest beastmen, found in the low level beastmen camps. Beastcoins can be stolen from the majority of these beastmen. Caution: The versions of these seen in Shadowreign areas are low tier 7.
- Tier 1 is a very loosely defined jargon term intended to position the described network at the top of the similarly loosely defined network hierarchy of the public Internet. Some people assert that it's more a marketing term than an engineering one these days; much heat, and occasionally some light, accompanies the cyclical discussion of the topic on the NANOG mailing list.

- (Compared to Tier 2s +7 Atk/Def Passives and 70% for the first Attack skill) Because of the increased strength and high availability and low price of Tier 2 pets, it is highly recommended that if you decide to use Basic pets, you Enchant them to a higher stage. It is theorised that Stage 3 Tier 1 pets perform equivalently as non-enchanted Tier 2 pets. Stage 5 Tier 1 pets perform equivalently to Stage 2-3 Tier 2 pets. Basic pet cards are purchasable from all Merchant NPCs for 8000 rupees. They do not drop from Mobs. There are three Tier 1 pets: Pantera, Poultry, Tortus.
