King Roald Remanis II was the former king of Misthalin. King Roald II ruled around the years 120-150 of the Fifth Age, and was the present king's father. It was he who made the proclamation stating that whoever returned the Shield of Arrav would receive 1200 coins (then a large amount), as it was in his time that the shield was stolen. After an adventurer returned the Shield of Arrav in 169, long after his death, they received 1200 coins and other tokens of appreciation, thus granting the lost request of the King Roald Remanis II.
