Roosevelt Barnes, Jr. (born August 3, 1958 in Fort Wayne, Indiana) is a former American football linebacker for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League. He played college football at Purdue University. After retiring from professional football, in 1987 Barnes became a partner and contract advisor with Maximum Sports Management. Over the years, Barnes has become one of the top contract negotiators in the industry. He has negotiated contracts for Laveranues Coles, Walter Jones, Ray Lewis, and Andre Wadsworth, among others.
