After arriving at the beach, Ranma decide to set Happosai up with Shampoo's Great-grandmother in the hope it will stop him from going after the other younger female beach patrons. Unfortunately Happosai is far from impressed with Ranma's choice so hands over a bracelet to Shampoo which Cologne recognises as the same bracelet that was stolen from her village. Devastated by how his "lil' Cologne" has aged, Happosai flees with the bracelet. The bracelet has three pills which will make a person fall in love with the first member of the opposite sex and vary in duration: instant, one day, and a lifetime.
