  • A Ritual of Summoning is performed only rarely, as opposed to the generic summoning of Demons by sufficiently skilled warlocks and necromancers, for it requires the use of several specially consecrated weapons - silver daggers are particular favourites - and the "sacrifice" of something precious to each of the participants. This is to ensure that whatever Demon is summoned retains all of its power in order to increase that of its summoners.

This is to ensure that whatever Demon is summoned retains all of its power in order to increase that of its summoners. In recent times, it was attempted by the revived Cadre Infernal in Lupravia, just south of the Abbey of the Black Monks, with the ceremony being led by Serena of Saarven. The result was the complete corruption of the five members of the Cadre when the Wolf Demon they summoned proceeded to possess one of them and start the process of transforming the others into horrific monstrosities.
