Born in England, McMeikan attended Oxford University before coming to Los Angeles, California, in 1996 and starting her career in Hollywood. Early in her career, McMeikan was a script coordinator on shows such as Frasier (starring Kelsey Grammer in the title role) and UPN's Goode Behavior. In addition to Enterprise, McMeikan was Post Production Supervisor on Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Conviction. She was also Post Production Supervisor on season one of CBS' The Unit. At the start of the second season, she became the show's associate producer. McMeikan's first passion, however, is music. As a singer and songwriter, she co-founded the rock band DragonEye in 1999 and released her first solo album, Breaking the Habit, in 2004. Some of her songs have been used in episodes of Criminal Intent and The Unit. She most recently released a cover of Alanis Morissette's song Right Through You.
