The Supreme Court of Greater Germania (German: Oberster Gerichtshof der Großgermania) is the highest judicial body in Großgermania, the primary court in the judiciary of Großgermania, and the only judicial body protected by the Constitution. It has the authority to create and destroy all inferior courts. It consists of five members of equal rank, who are appointed by the Reichstag with the approval of the Emperor, currently Michael von Preußen. Once appointed, the Supreme Justices effectively have life tenure, which terminates only upon death, resignation, or recall by either the Reichstag or the Emperor. The Court meets in Nordhausen, and acts primarily an appellate court, with cases originally being tried in inferior courts. It does, however, have original jurisdiction over all cases inv

It consists of five members of equal rank, who are appointed by the Reichstag with the approval of the Emperor, currently Michael von Preußen. Once appointed, the Supreme Justices effectively have life tenure, which terminates only upon death, resignation, or recall by either the Reichstag or the Emperor. The Court meets in Nordhausen, and acts primarily an appellate court, with cases originally being tried in inferior courts. It does, however, have original jurisdiction over all cases involving the Imperial Government, any member thereof, or any Constitutional dispute. The Supreme Court heard its first case, Reference re Constitution, in December 2008, less than two weeks after being established, when it was asked by the National Unionist Party of Großgermania (NUPG) to interpret a clause in the Preamble of the Constitution, which stated that '[The people embrace] the values of National Unionism, proletarian rule, and nationalist autocracy, and the views of the National Unionist Party of Greater Germania...', which some in the Party interpreted as disallowing opposition parties. The Supreme Court affirmed this, reserving that the NUPG was required to win a majority of Reichstag seats in the First General Election for the provision to remain in effect.
