- Kera was one of two moons, along with Phinda, which orbited the planet Tellar. (TOS reference: The Worlds of the Federation) "By Kera and Phinda!" was a common Tellarite exclamation, used similarly to the phrase "By Jove!" in Human culture. This may indicate that the names also have basis in Tellarite mythology. (TOS novel: Prime Directive, SCE eBook: Grand Designs, et al)
