Additionally, both Warband and With Fire & Sword permit players to pick up arrows, bolts, and some thrown weapons from the terrain, which may then be fired again. An important thing to remember when using ranged weapons is that when firing in third person view, the shot is actually aimed about a foot and a half below the targeting reticule when at point blank range.

At a distance of three tiles, your damage modifier is 10, or 100% of your basic damage. For best attack power with the longbow, you must keep your distance, which you can verify with the look command. Bullets and energy cells can be used with pistols, shotguns, machine guns, and laser pistols. Short bows and long bows use arrows. Crossbows require bolts. Thrown weapons can be equipped but cannot be fired while ammunition is equipped.

If more than one stack of ammunition is in the inventory, the ammunition will be used in the following order: * Ammunition in the "Ammo" slots of the inventory will take precedence, top to bottom. * If there is no suitable ammunition in the Ammo slots, ammunition in the inventory will be used, left to right and top to bottom (including those in the Hotbar).
