Johnny 5 is a robot that joins up Alvin Seville and the Rebel Alliance. Originally a SAINT robot that struck by lightning, and later he was one of Robot Friends. The Ewoks soon discover that Johnny's new gold plating make him one of the Ewok gods, the Golden One.

- Johnny 5 (originally called "S-A-I-N-T Prototype Number 5") is the fictional robotic star of the 1986 film Short Circuit, its 1988 sequel Short Circuit 2 and a TV special called Hot Cars, Cold Facts. He is a former military robot imbued with intelligence and sentience by a lightning bolt, and is considered to be alive in the philosophical sense, as he has emotions and is self-aware. He is both puppeteered and voiced by Tim Blaney. in both movies he is either helping Stephanie Speck or Benjamin Jabituya-Jahrvi with their problems.
- The Johnny 5 is a YT-1300 freighter in the Brotherhood of Darkness Online Roll Playing Forum. Its been modified from it's base model in several unique but not always practical ways.
- The story revolves around a sentient robot labeled "SAINT Number 5." The acronym SAINT stands for "Strategic Artificially Intelligent Nuclear Transport." The robot later takes the name "Johnny 5". A sequel, Short Circuit 2, was released in 1988. Johnny 5 aka "Number 5" appears in "My Morning Straitjacket" at the My Morning Jacket concert.
