Hurricane Smith (b. Norman Smith on 22 February 1923 – East Sussex (England), March 3, 2008) was an English sound engineer and record producer. He is best known for his work with The Beatles and Pink Floyd. Norman Smith began his career as a sound engineer at EMI record company in 1960. In that capacity he worked from 1962 along with music producer George Martin to the first albums by The Beatles. The last album in which he was involved, it is in 1965 released "Rubber Soul". Smith died at the age of 85 on March 3, 2008.
