David Leonard Congdon (born 16 October 1949) is a British former Conservative Party politician. He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Croydon North East, South London from 1992 to 1997. Congdon had been also a councillor for many years and served as Deputy Leader of Croydon Council. He was first elected to the House of Commons at the 1992 general selection, succeeding the outgoing speaker Bernard Weatherill who was retiring from the Commons.
