Hamma Elad was a female artist and leading member of the Commission for the Protection of the Republic during the Clone Wars, the galaxy-wide civil war between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. On three occasions she received the Chancellor Palpatine award for Clarity in Crisis for her work. She spent time studying the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic on the planet Kamino and produced the piece "Support the Boys in White," which attempted to humanize the clones, before being killed in a Separatist attack.
