Similarly, it begins a large success as German forces blitzkrieg through Communist territories. However, over the distances, the Nazi soldiers and their war machines get further and further apart, until the Soviets swoop in and cut the German forces in two. A mere two hundred miles from Moscow, the Nazi's suffer a massive defeat, effectively ending any hopes of a German invasion of the Soviet Union. With this, it is rather difficult for the German Government to stop history from repeating itself, as the Allied forces launched a successful invasion of Normandy on June 6th, 1944. With the Americans pushing from the West, and the Soviets from the East, and Africa having been liberated the year before, there is little the Nazi's can do before the Allies split Berlin--and it remains separated for the next fifty years. The Cold War happens, the Berlin Wall falls, China becomes a Great power, and the United States witnesses one of the greatest economic crashes in the nation's history. Only time will tell if it will fall beneath the waves of history, or rewrite it. Jazon Naparleon 16:49, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
