The Hafdasa C-2 is a submachine gun of Argentine origin intended for crews of armored vehicles and is chambered in 9 mm Luger and .45 ACP calibres. It has an aluminium lower receiver and is fed from a wide 50 round box magazine for 9x19mm rounds and 40 round magaine for the .45 ACP rounds. Its magazine insert has a dust cover that folds open forward to form a grip shrouding the front of the magazines. The C-2 was available with a folding metal stock and predates the likes of many modern machine pistols.

The C-2 was available with a folding metal stock and predates the likes of many modern machine pistols. As one announced in the previous number, in this one we continued with a brief review of the first arms that made the company that founded Carlos Ballester Oil mill. After HAFDASA gave his first passages in the manufacture of arms with the launching of the pistol send signals that was a true success since it was compared with the Walther pistol for equal intentions that the Argentine Army had like grant, in 1938 were begun to produce the first automatic weapons. It is important to clarify that Ballester Oil mill always denominated? automatic weapons? to all, but in fact they were semiautomatic. First they were the C2 (soon the C1, C3 and C4 would come). Of this model they made around 70 units during 1938. The C2 Model that illustrates the opening photo takes number 6351 and is one of the three made in,45 caliber the ACP. This model, according to the inventory that Tavella Madariaga realised opportunely, belonged to Juan Domingo Perón. The rest made in caliber 9 mm Parabellum and were given to the presidential guard of then president Roberto M. Ortiz (20.2.1938 to the 27.6.1942). These weapons were tested with satisfactory results. It is important to remember that HAFDASA is born in the decade of 1920 like a company to arm in the country the vehicles Hispanic Switzerland and also to produce some spare parts.
