Saba is an enchanted shortsword found in the abandoned Power Chamber in Lord Drakkon's universe. He was originally to be partnered with that universe's Jason when he was chosen to become the White Ranger. However, when Tommy interrupted the process and became a Green/White Ranger hybrid, Zordon locked Saba away in hibernation so that he could not be used for evil. He could only be released by someone pure... I.E. Tommy and Billy from the original universe. When Lord Drakkon and his Mastodon Sentries ambush them, Saba calls on the damaged White Tigerzord to hold them off while the heroes make their escape in the Falconzord. When they are safe, Saba tells Tommy and Billy about Lord Drakkon's origin, and that they need to find the Coinless resistance.
