While the Marine-trained troopers led by Captain Laera Reyolé and the other Jedi worked their way through the Sith Interdictor-class cruiser, the lander remained in the hangar deck. In the wake of Darth Malak's betrayal of Revan, the four-man crew was forced to defend itself from a number of Sith crewers who attempted to hijack it in a desperate attempt to flee the stricken warship. Upon the completion of the mission, Captain Reyolé ordered Padawan Shan and the surviving troopers, along with the comatose form of Darth Revan, to make their way back to the Republic fleet under the command of Vice Admiral Forn Dodonna aboard JE-228. In order to confuse the Sith further, she instructed fellow Jedi Knight Georg Oakes to take a KT-400 droid transport, while she and Lieutenant Silas Dan'kre absconded with a Herald-class shuttle. The lander successfully made it back to the fleet, delivering Revan into the hands of the Jedi Order.
