Originally, WTHQ-FM was offered a hybird CHR/country/oldies/hot AC format (under the call letters of both WBLJ-FM and WLJN-FM) until 1994, and was also offered a children's format (which offered programming from KidStar, Radio AAHS, and Radio Disney) until 2006 when WTHQ-FM relaunched under the supervision with TV Guide and E! Entertainment Television. Originally the station, which began broadcasting in 1969, was known as WBLJ-FM until 1978 and WLJN-FM until 1994, and it was also owned by LJN until 1988, Acclaim Entertainment until 1994 (THQ operates the station from 1990 to 1994), and THQ until early-2013.
