Synopsis

  • Henry Tudor makes a wish to become king of the world after he realizes that the star-shaped Celtic amulet he wears, as does the similar amulet worn by Diana Prince, can make them come true. After he makes his wish, the amulet’s power causes a U.S. bomber to head for Moscow, with orders to nuke the Russian capital. He also finds himself suddenly transported inside a locked bank vault for protection him from the holocaust. When the war is over, he will be one of the few people to survive it, and thus rule it. Green Lantern tries to prevent the airplane's bombs from exploding over Russia, but his ring is bollixed by the magic. However, after Diana Prince becomes Wonder Woman, she snags the bombs in her lasso, and muffles their explosion with its magic power. Afterward, GL’s ring functions normally and he breaks Tudor out of the bank vault. Green Lantern files his report of the case with the JLA, recommending that Wonder Woman be reinstated.
