- The basic gameplay revolves around keeping the player-character from falling over the sides of the slides as it twists and turns by stirring left and right with the left analong stick. Pushing forward on the analog speeds the character and rubber ring up, and pulling back slows them down. - The water slide, or pool slide, is a Build mode object which was introduced in The Sims: Vacation, and re-introduced in The Sims 2: Seasons and The Sims 3: Island Paradise. It must be placed along the edge of a swimming pool to be useful. Unlike the diving board, Sims have no fears or reservations about using the water slide to enter the pool. However, in The Sims 2, a visibly pregnant Sim cannot use the water slide.

| - Mr. DeLuge had an aqueous dream: to make amusement park-quality waterslides affordable, compact, and fun for all! It was his hope that everyone in the family, big or small, would enjoy it, so what are you all waiting for? Hydro-Kids! Hydro-Wife! Hydroglide Waterslide!
- Attention parents! Playground slides are dangerous! Did you know children reach speeds approaching FIVE while sliding? Can you trust them to land safely on their feet instead of impacting ground at a horrifying velocity? No. No, you can't. At Aquaducks, we know the safest place to land is in soft, kid-safe water.

DESC
| - Do you feel the need to live life wildly? Is carpe diem your personal motto? Oh yeah, we can definitely sense tour love of danger -- it's probably your middle name. The Kronklehorn is the ultimate for at-home thrill seekers. It will force you to climb to its mighty peak, then rocket you downward into an eagerly waiting pool. If that's not danger, we don't know what is.
- Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, the Simmer's Guide to Pool Entry added "The Wet and Twisted." This slide full of twists and turns propels you and your friends quickly into the water for an even bigger splash than the cannonball. Use with Caution: Slippery When Wet.

It must be placed along the edge of a swimming pool to be useful. Unlike the diving board, Sims have no fears or reservations about using the water slide to enter the pool. However, in The Sims 2, a visibly pregnant Sim cannot use the water slide. In Vacation, the pool slide is known as The Wet and Twisted, and costs §419. In Seasons, it is known as The Kronklehorn, and costs §800. Despite the differences in name and price, it looks the same in both games, except for a few slight differences in the ladder. The Sims 3: Island Paradise includes two pool slides. One, the Hydroglide Waterslide by DeLuge Inc. costs §1,050, and is similar to the water slides in Vacation and The Sims 2: Seasons. The other, the Aquaducks Waterslide, costs §1,200 and uses a slightly different design.
- The basic gameplay revolves around keeping the player-character from falling over the sides of the slides as it twists and turns by stirring left and right with the left analong stick. Pushing forward on the analog speeds the character and rubber ring up, and pulling back slows them down.
