Chinese gold farming (CGF), or gold farming refers to people in poorer countries who play Massively multiplayer online games for the sole purpose of generating the virtual currency in those games to be sold to other game subscribers (typically in other, wealthier countries). The term is not reserved exclusively for this practice as performed in China, but rather the term refers to the business practice when performed in game by a player from any country who's unable to chat in any of the common languages of the game. The actual nationalities of CGFs are typically indefinable in game.
