Damian Hartard of the Leyen was the Archbishop of Mainz from 1675 until 1679, and the Bishop of Worms from 1675 until 1679. Damian was a younger brother of Charles Caspar of the Leyen, the Archbishop of Trier. Through his brother's influence, Damian was made archdeacon of Karden. In 1675 he was elected the Archbishop of Mainz and Bishop of Worms following the death of Lothar Frederick of Metternich-Burscheid. In 1678 he obtained for his family the Colonian Neuburg. He died in 1679 and was buried in Mainz cathedral.
