Born and raised in a small village of Aloria, Inara is the daughter of the town's healer and village teacher. Over the years, Peter has taught his daughter in the ways of herb and knife, hoping that she would one day take over as the village's medical authority. Diana, on the other hand, has tried with varying degrees of success, to turn Inara in a proper lady in hopes of a successful marriage match. Inara absorbed the tutelage of her father and tries her best to be the graceful and eligible maiden her mother wishes, but also to limited success.

| - Born and raised in a small village of Aloria, Inara is the daughter of the town's healer and village teacher. Inara is a free-spirit who would spend all her time in the forest or foothills; hunting, riding, playing in the wilds. Since she can't, she walks the fine line between what she wishes to be and what is expected of her. Her parents aren't unsympathetic to the dilemma - Peter often gives Inara the tasks of gathering herbs and plants in the forest, and Diana will politely ignore the times her daughter sneaks off in breeches with a bow slung over one shoulder. Dirk is Inara's older brother by four summers and is away on his rambles, earning his keep as a jack-of-all-trades while he travels the countryside before settling down to a wife and family. Though not related by blood, Inara does have one other person in Grayville that she considers family: Aidan Conall. Only a year seperates the pair of them but that might be about it. They've been fast friends since both were in nappies. A complimentary pair they are, with a deep love of nature and similar (thought not always synchronous) outlooks on life.
