Their shots bounced off of Pathavim's energy shield, when a "self-appointed anti-lawman" named Trosk stepped forward. He fired at the newly minted Green Lantern, who was surprised to see the bullets rip through the shield. Mortally wounded, Pathavim consulted his ring, which informed him that the bullets were made of gold, taking advantage of the ring's yellow impurity.
