First established in 2291, and located deep within the mantle of the remote dwarf planet Eris in the Sol system, the Vault was designed as a repository for temporal technologies that were confiscated by the DTI in the course of their investigations. The artifacts present in the Vault were located within containment bays, and secured with force fields. Among the artifacts that were stored there in 2369 were a large blue box, and an ornate time travel device with a large disc at the rear. Bay K44 held the Ky'rha Artifacts, whilst Bay K42 contained their power packs. In 2369, a group of officers and crew from the temporally-displaced USS Bozeman attacked and infiltrated the Vault, hoping to use the Ky'rha Artifacts to return to their own time, but were thwarted by the efforts of DTI agents Marion Dulmur and Gariff Lucsly.
