The RG2120X features two humbucking pickups and a double locking tremolo which has L.R. Baggs active piezo pickup saddles for acoustic-like sound. Unlike previous models like the RG2020X and RG2027X, the RG2120X features a 2-band EQ for the piezo and has a 3-way toggle for selecting magnetic pickup only, piezo only or mixed output. The RG2120X was discontinued after 2004. In 2005, a simpler piezo-equipped model was introduced as the RG1820X.
