When David was entering puberty, his mutation developed and his powers manifested themselves. His parents weren't upset by this, actually happy with it. Yet again, their family was proving that they were better than everyone else. He was taught to embrace his gifts, and to learn how to use them and control them, so that he could master them and use it advance himself. When he was old enough to go to college, he applied to the University of Toronto, to study business and economics.
