- The Annihilator is a level 3 tower that uses high amounts of energy to function, hence the description "Energy Weapon". It fires devastating blue laser beams that can kill most land units in one shot, while also capable of carving large chunks off of ships; one shot costs 2000 energy though, and the firing rate is low. It needs to "open up" before it can attack, which makes it vulnerable for about 5 seconds, however it can take twice the damage if it remains closed up. It is also equipped with its own radar to complement its excellent range. Its CORE counterpart is the Doomsday Machine.

- Schlechte Neuigkeiten, Space-Piloten!
- Annihilator is a Reaper alien which had it's rewards changed. This alien hits much harder than most boss aliens you will find and can fire elite Hellstorms. Weaker ships don't stand a chance at killing these while stronger ships should take caution when taking these on. One simple advantage is that they offer 3 Xenomit and whilst this isn't much, it's still some, although for a Boss Kristallin with less health and damage, you can get 8. They're now worth your money when soloed but should still be done as part of quests only. Note these ships are not the mothership of the pirates, which is in fact the Battleray.

W drugim dodatku do gry, The Ballad of Gay Tony, Annihilator ma taką samą funkcjonalność, co w poprzednim dodatku. Jest jednak dostępny w single-playerze.
- The Annihilator was one of the Evil Horde's most used flying vehicles. Like many of the Horde's vehicles, it featured facial features on the front similar to Hordak himself. Next to the two-manned craft, there was also a larger version of the Horde Flyer that could travel between different planets. This version was usually piloted by two Horde Troopers at a time.
- The Annihilator is a special agent that destroys all of the bloons on the screen. However, this comes at a price - you still lose some of the lives you would have lost if the destroyed bloons had escaped. When there are less than 100 lives worth of bloons on the screen, you lose 10% of the lives you would have lost (rounded up). When there are between 100 and 1000 lives worth of bloons on the screen, you lose 5% of the lives you would have lost (rounded up). When there are over 1000 lives worth of bloons on the screen, you lose 1% of the lives you would have lost (rounded up). However, MOAB-class bloons are not included in this - you always lose 10 lives for every M.O.A.B., 25 lives for every B.F.B., and 50 lives for every Z.O.M.G.; and the number of lives they would have caused you to los

- ANNIHILATORS are DESTRO's elite airborne assault troops. They can be deployed by sea, air, and land using the mini-turbine heli-packs on their backs. They descend upon their target like armored locusts. These troopers are recruited from the ranks of the IRON GRENADIERS. As part of their indoctrination into the Airborne Corps, they must serve an apprenticeship as hard-sell telephone solicitors, procuring sales for the M.A.R.S. (Military Armaments Research Systems) corporation. Not only does this help to increase DESTRO's coffers, but it also reinforces their tenacity and ruthlessness!
