As a richer timeline, it explores the history of those two nations until just past crucial year 1221 AD, when their peoples' destinies cross in the explosive emergence of a centuries-long conflict. This detailed timeline is dated in both the Anno Domini and Ad Urbe Condita calendars (AUC=AD+753 years), and is organized according to the reigns of the Roman Emperors from Sulla I to Magnus II. Over the course of those thousand or so years, the Roman Empire grew from a mighty European state to the single most powerful entity in the Old World. Meanwhile, the Maya nation went from an assortment of unorganized city-states to an advanced kingdom that controlled the majority of the New World. * 933-981 AUC * 981-1031 AUC * 1031-1067 AUC * 1077-1092 AUC * 1092-1113 AUC * 1113-1148 AUC * 1148-1184 AUC * 1184-1205 AUC * 1205-1238 AUC * 1238-1290 AUC * 1290-1348 AUC * 1348-1395 AUC * 1395-1440 AUC * 1440-1514 AUC * 1514-1588 AUC * 1588-1642 AUC * 1642-1669 AUC * 1669-1750 AUC
