- The Spire is a structure outside of Meridian, originally built by the Old Ones on a mesa called the Alight. It was found by the first Carja Sun-King Araman as he and his followers travelled from the"Savage East". He decided to build Meridian in its shadow. Previously, it served as a signaling antenna for GAIA, used to broadcast the deactivation codes for Faro machines such as Deathbringers and Corruptors. It was used by Hades in an attempt to reactive those machines in order to destroy all life on Earth, however this plot was foiled by Aloy and her allies.
