Ryun had been dead for nearly a month. He carried a new sword on his side. Just before his death, he sealed the Ten Tails within Tentouken to save it from death. When he reached the Other World, it had been fully changed from a Shadow Blade to a Zanpakutō called Juubikatta. He had been training with Juubikatta for the past month but due to the sword being incredibly powerful, he was not able to remain in his Bankai or Shukai states very long. The longest he could hold it was for three minutes and this angered him. While he was training one afternoon, Rokudou Sennin came to oversee how he was progressing.

"Well Ryun, its certainly been awhile. Your heading back to the human world in a month and this is as strong as you've gotten?" Rokudou asked sarcastically. Ryun was huffing from exhaustion, "Quiet old man. I will do this." "Now now, I'm here to teach you how to control your zanpakuto releases, but first we are going to subjugate the Ten Tails' unlimited chakra and give you full control." Rokudou responded. At this Ryun was interested, "Hikaru already taught me how...I just can't control myself..thats why it always takes over." Rokudou chuckled, "Ha! All Hikaru did was tell you how to become the fox's partner. Now that the fox is sealed in your sword you must learn to control its power." Ryun nodded, "Show me"
