He protects them from the mindless undead and mutant creatures living there. He believes that the Forsaken are different than the Scourge, and they wish it was destroyed. He believes that they have become forsaken by their friends; forgotten or dismissed by the families they once loved and by their former allies. His group works to change that and prove to the world that there are good (not evil) Forsaken. He believes that it is true that many of their kind are jealous of the living, and some have allowed that jealousy to become hatred. However, he believes that the Forsaken should not be judged by those individuals, and that they should be judged by their actions instead. Unfortunately it's suggested that he may be overly optimistic, and that there is more evil within their organization than he suspected. He and his group once defended Brann Bronzebeard from a pack of Rothide gnolls. A spell was cast by one of his group incinerating half the gnolls, and the rest charged into the clearing with their swords and pikes and routed the remaining gnolls. He explained who he was, and welcomed Brann to the glades, and suggested he meet the Horde Ambassador Galavosh in the Undercity. Dartfall represents a Forsaken who remains a member of the organization despite evil that exists within it. He believes that they are ultimately good and that they can prove that to their former allies. In contrast Kegan Darkmar and Leonid Barthalomew the Revered represent fellow Forsaken who left the organization after noticing the evil inside of it, and Trevor plans to leave it because of the darkness.
