Mole then questioned Farmer Nige, whose vegetables had disappeared while he was asleep. The pair soon learned that the food had mutated into a sentient army, led by King Edward. A passing Sonic the Hedgehog helped in the investigation, taking Mole to the Chemical Plant Zone where a leaky pipe had allowed chemicals to flow into the Plowright Zone's crops.
