RP are combination of liquid wealth that is available to characters from there non-liquid assets. RP may be saved from season to season, and may also be used to invest in new or increasing non-liquid assets. The cost for materials for item creation is a base of 75% of the RP cost, of a normal item of its kind. Exceptional items and above, add 5% to this cost per level. So making a Perfect Suit of armor does not cost sufficient money as to reduce a 5 dot background. The primary need for perfect item creation is the skilled labor, which the character is providing. This has the effect of making building your own weapons and equipment much cheaper for characters, and is intended to assist character in out fitting troops. Characters are not restricted in what level items they may purchase, so long as they can meet the RP cost. So even if you have Background Resource 1, you can save up for a resource 2 purchase. RP amounts are intended to allow multiple purchases of items at the low end of there Dot level, or a few at the high end or above there level. All characters start play with 150 RP worth of equipment, to include weapons, armor, horse, homes ext. The cost of Armor has been reduced a great deal from its base cost, this is to assist in the outfitting of troops. Resource 0.
