  • Myrtle Avenue is a two-level elevated station on the BMT Jamaica Line of the New York City Subway. The upper level of the station carries no tracks and is now abandoned. For more on the former service of that level, see the Myrtle Avenue Line article. The station is a junction for the M trains joining from the BMT Myrtle Avenue Line. This is one of the few places in the system where this is done with no flying junction. It has three tracks and two island platforms. The J and Z trains use the middle track for peak-direction express service during the day. The M train uses the middle track for its late night and weekend shuttle service. This station is sometimes called "Myrtle/Broadway" or "Broadway/Myrtle" to distingush it from the nearby Myrtle-Wyckoff station.
