In the middle of the 1975-76 season, he left the Broncos to turn pro with the Denver Spurs of the World Hockey Association. The team folded mid-season as the Ottawa Civics and he finished the season with the minor pro Tucson Mavericks. In 1976-77 he joined the Colorado Rockies who had been the Kansas City Scouts. Delorme played four fine seasons with the team, scoring 60 goals and 59 assists over that span. The Vancouver Canucks claimed him on waivers in 1981. He was a part of the team that made it to the Stanley Cup final in 1981-82. Delorme retired in 1985. He had played in 524 NHL games, scoring 83 goals and 83 assists.
