A panorama of high, glaciated mountains surrounds the valley where the bustling little town has been expanding in the last decades. Monte Cervino dominates the view from the highest points, and the impressive ridge and sheer rock face of the Jumeaux on the western side stands as a significant landmark. In winter, the sight of little avalanches running down the steep rocks is not uncommon.
