What is certain, however, is that by the mid-15th century rulers in Asia and Europe were beginning to recognise the value of firearms as being more than just affecting enemy morale, and the slew of super-sized gun barrels that can be found all over Europe today hints at the proliferation of these weapons towards the end of the Mediaeval Era.
