The NK-3 ion cannon was a type of starfighter-scale ion cannon that was manufactured by Borstel Galactic Defense. Cygnus Spaceworks utilized the NK-3 weapons system on its Alpha-class Xg-1 Star Wings, as did Sienar Fleet Systems for their TIE/D Defenders, both of which saw service with the Imperial Navy during the Galactic Civil War. Both the TIE Defender and the Star Wings carried two of these cannons, which they used to disable other craft.
