They used the name of a district of Saint-Servan where she lived. At the beginning of the 1930s , she became a popular singer and opened a chic nightclub called la vie Parisienne. She was openly lesbian. One of her publicity stunts was to the "most painted woman in the world". She posed for some of the best known painters of the time, including Pablo Picasso andGeorges Braque. Her pay for posing was that her paintings were given, which were hung in her club. Soon she had gathered 39 portraits of himself. La vie Parisiennebecame one of the fashionable places in Paris. SOLIDOR's most famous portrait was painted by Tamara de Lempicka. When she met De Lempicka in the 1930s she asked the artist to paint her. De Lempicka agreed, but only if they could paint Solidor in the nude. The painting was completed in 1933. SOLIDOR nightclub was during the occupation in the Second World War popular with German officers. After the war, she was convicted by the Épuration légalecollaboration. She died at the age of 82 and was buried in the town of Cagnes-sur-Mer, where she had lived.
