As a result, Angela faked her death while she was out sailing and also wanted to ensure that her family didn't go through any kind of pain but Mendez was not convinced of what had happened and sent two of his goons to the high school Kody attended with the intention of drawing Angela out and then killing her with a bomb the goons had strapped to Kody's body while also ensuring that the authorities thought that Kody was to blame for the crime which would in turn also ensure that Mendez and the goons escaped any involvement. Luckily, though, NCIS got involved and were successful in arresting the two goons involved, bringing Mendez's attempts of revenge to a permanent end. Meanwhile, Director Jennifer Shepard managed to reunite Angela with Ken and Kody, eventually triggering an emotional reunion.
