Sega is cranking out a multitude of mature titles for various platforms, Wii included. First we've got MadWorld by PlatinumGames, and now Sega just announced a new entry in their House of the Dead series for the console titled The House of the Dead: Overkill, which will be an on-rail shooter similar to the previous titles in the series. Agent G, one of the protagonists from the series, will make a grandiose return, though we've also got a new character named Detective Washington.

Apparently the game is a prequel to the primary four video games in the series, and my bet is something not entirely happy happens to Detective Washington, who isn't present in the other titles. According to the official, European website, players can switch between shotguns and rifles, slow down time and zoom in. It takes place in a Louisiana town and of course features hoards of disgruntled zombies WHO WANT TO EAT YOU!!! You don't have to be ready to play the game just yet, as currently it has a release date of TBA 2009. Oh, and it's currently being developed by Headstrong Games, formerly known as Kuju - the guys behind the Battalion Wars series for GameCube and Wii.
