In 2004, the U20 junior team of the club joined the Latvian Hockey League, under the name SK Riga 20. The squad consisted mainly of members of the Latvian U20 national team, which used the league games as preparation for international play. The club moved to a new arena, AkadÄ“mijas Ledus, in 2007 and were renamed SK LSPA / Riga.
