The Ecumenical Synod of Aldegaria was an Ecumenical Council that took place between March and July 3412 and resulted in the reunification of the Hobrazian Orthodox Church and the Patriarchal Church (Eastern Rite) under a single body, the Apostolic Church of the East, comprised of 6 autocephalous (independent) Churches. Although the two communions that participated at the Synod shared doctrinal unity, they had been separated for centuries after they lost contact following the Ahmadi invasions, and the Synod of Aldegaria fully reunited the two bodies, in addition to formalizing Eastern Hosian doctrine and organization.
