- Sunstone is a limited Rare Gem in Bejeweled Blitz. It is a yellow gemstone that resembles an eight-pointed star. When the player begins a game with Sunstone activated, a random number of unique yellow gems that resemble eight-pointed stars drops alongside the other gems into the board. A star functions identically to a Flame Gem, except a star also clears extra gems in the cardinal and diagonal directions. The base value for clearing a star is 600 points. While Sunstone is active, stars replace random yellow gems throughout the game, and Flame Gems created using yellow gems become stars instead.
