The Laeric Supremacists were an extremist group that was formed on the planet Laer (then known as Dyloth) during the First Laeric War, when Laeric hatred for the Dylutch people first began. When the Dylutch refused to let the Laerics populate their home planet, they started the First Laeric War in 751 BBY. In 754 BBY, near the end of the war, a group of Laeric clan leaders started making plans for a new government order with which they would rule the planet. They all agreed that their Dylutch enemies should not be entitled to the same rights as the Laeric people. by the time the war ended in 755 BBY, the Laeric Supremacists had already set up a Republican government, which the Dylutch had no knowledge of until then. Their whole race was only allowed two representatives in the Laeric senate

In 754 BBY, near the end of the war, a group of Laeric clan leaders started making plans for a new government order with which they would rule the planet. They all agreed that their Dylutch enemies should not be entitled to the same rights as the Laeric people. by the time the war ended in 755 BBY, the Laeric Supremacists had already set up a Republican government, which the Dylutch had no knowledge of until then. Their whole race was only allowed two representatives in the Laeric senate, (One for the Dylutch, and one for a subspecies of Dylutch, the Drylutch) while every major Laeric city or community had its own senator. The Dylutch tried to subtly change the laws over the next ten years or so, but they were all stopped by the supreme chancellor of Laer and leader of the Laeric Supremacists, Monhur Yub. Although the Dylutch people had been given no choice but to elect him, they still blamed themselves for letting the Laerics take over.
